The core objective of the GCI Prayer and Intercessory Department is to undergird the church’s vision and mission as well as all the church’s programs and activities with prayer. The department has various prayer teams that do intercession at different times and on various topics to ensure that there is prayer watch over every aspect of GCI’s ministries.
The teams pray for the church and members' well-being; god success for programs and activities; growth of the church, fulfilment of church vision; evangelism programs, church planting and missions among others. They also offer prayer support during various church services and during the online Morning Devotion (Fragrance of Glory) which is held every weekday from 4.45am to 6.00am
